Close to the sea — but which part?
Compare the route to your chosen beach, your daily plans and the return to your accommodation.
01Pine, Kalimanj and the centre
For a day combining a town walk, cultural break and coast.
- Best suited to
- When you want most daily needs within the town circuit.
- Main trade-off
- Ask for the actual route to your chosen bathing area and a quiet room, not just the name of the centre.
A car-free town stay →
02Towards Seljanovo and the marina
For a stay where public coast, maritime heritage and Seljanovo matter.
- Best suited to
- When you want a walk and one cultural or beach stop.

Public parts of Porto Montenegro →
03A base for trips outside the centre
For a plan including the Salt Pans, Kalardovo, Gornja Lastva or other coves.
- Best suited to
- When you arrange transport and different departure directions beforehand.
- Main trade-off
- Airport, reserve and peninsula do not form one short walking route.
Arrival and an arranged transfer →
With children or a pushchair? Check the actual route from the entrance to the beach, steps and climbs. A terrace view does not show the entire approach.
Choose according to your day
Swimming alongside a town day or a separate trip.
Belane, Seljanovo and the town beach have different town approaches. Keep Kalardovo as an excursion; Župa and Račica remain in the full beach overview.

Your first arrival, without rushing

Reaching the exact entrance
Arrange onward travel from the airport or another station and leave your luggage before walking.
One town choice
Walk part of Pine and Kalimanj, or choose Buća and public marina areas. Confirm museum entry separately.
The next day according to your interests
Choose the Salt Pans for nature, Gornja Lastva for the hinterland or a different beach. Prepare a separate return for each direction.
With children: one cultural stop and a shorter route to the coast can be enough for a day.
Nature: The Salt Pans have their own access rules; stay on permitted paths and do not expect promised bird sightings.
